Please follow all NHS and Government advice.
Staying inside and socially distancing yourself will help save lives.

My Office

I have followed Government advice and closed my office, so all staff are now working from home. This means they are still able to help you with issues, but we are not contributing to the spread of Covid-19. You can email and phone as usual, but please don’t post documents or visit the office. There may be slight delays with any contact so please be patient, but rest assured we are working to help anyone who contacts me. As always the best way to contact me is to email, but you can also call 0208 571 1003

Advice for those shielding and in isolation

Ealing Council is running a programme called Ealing Together. This collaboration between local community and voluntary groups, Ealing Council, resident associations and concerned residents that want to help will help people access the support they need.

Remember to avoid leaving your house if at all possible, and ask friends and family to help you access supplies safely.

Advice for older people

Ealing Together will be able to help if you are unable to safely get food and other necessities. Age UK has advice too. If you have concerns about an older person or are in an abusive situation yourself – you can contact Hourglass here.

Remember to avoid leaving your house if at all possible, and ask friends and family to help you access supplies safely.

Mental Health

The current crisis will be deeply distressing for a lot of people, and some will need more help than others. If you are struggling with anxiety or worry, have a look at this advice from Mind.

“From today, Uber will be making 300k rides/meals available to all NHS staff for free. We are committed to playing our part in this national effort and we hope this helps in a small way as our heroic doctors, nurses and other front line staff work tirelessly day and night.

We want as many people as possible to take up a free ride or meal, so please do use your channels to share this more widely.

To redeem, NHS staff register input their email at – they will then receive free trips of up to £15 as well as a £10 voucher to buy a meal or groceries.”

Shops overcharging

Putting up prices massively or profiteering is not allowed. Ealing Council will be prosecuting business owners who risk the health and wellbeing of people by overcharging. Please email me on if you know of businesses in Ealing and Southall doing this.

Support for businesses.

If you think your business will struggle with Covid-19 the Government have set up schemes to help. You might be eligible for grants to cover SSP, some taxes might be deferred or cleared this year. Click here for HMRC info.

The Confederation of British Industry have also produced advice, which is available here.

As an employee

This is a difficult time for everyone, and lots of people will worry about paying bills and keeping their family safe. There is help out there, and you have rights. Do not go to work if you have symptoms. See here for all the advice on what to do.

Religious Burials/Cremations

There are lots of people contacting me with concerns about Religious Burials/Cremations. I have added my name to an amendment to ensure that the religious wishes of the deceased and the family are taken into consideration.
