On 31st July, I welcomed Malaika Goel, a 16-year-old Commonwealth Games silver medallist in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol Shooting, to Parliament.
It was a pleasure to welcome and congratulate Miss Goel and her family for her remarkable achievement in winning a silver medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Miss Goel is a role model for young people who inspire to develop themselves in sports and games. It is important more young people follow their sporting aspirations and embrace the wide range of sports and activities available to them.
Miss Goel continues to embark on progressing her Air Pistol shooting abilities alongside her academic studies. I wish Miss Goel and her parents all the best for the future and looking forward to watching her compete in the future.
Good luck!
