Tory Turncoat’s (Dal Badloo’s) shameful BNP outburst as Southall is abandoned by Tory Council
Last week when responding to the announcement that Southall town centre was to receive £1.7m for regeneration Virendra Sharma stated a number of facts.
Virendra Sharma MP said: “This so called regeneration of Southall town centre is further evidence that Southall has been abandoned by the Tories. The Council are putting up less than £1m, excluding the money from TFL, to replace a few paving stones and tidy up a few junctions.
“Compared to the £5m Cllr Stacey has pumped into Greenford town centre this is an insult to Southall. The Tories have stripped millions of pounds from Southall through selling off the community centre and the shops in the High Street and put very little back.
“They have milked further millions from Southall residents through aggressive enforcement of parking in Herbert Road and yellow box junctions in South Road and yet Southall roads are still full of potholes.
“The people of Southall will not be fooled and at the May Council elections will let the Tories know what they think of them and their asset stripping of Southall”
Faced with these facts Southall Tory turncoat (Dal Badloo) Cllr Gurcharan Singh launched a shameful and astonishing attack on Virendra Sharma accusing him of “running a fear campaign, using untruths to divide the borough” and using “the same tactics the BNP uses."
In response to Cllr Singh’s outburst Virendra Sharma MP said, “Cllr Singh’s re-action shows he has lost the argument about Tory neglect of Southall and his irresponsible comments are sadly to be expected given his history of divisiveness. I have always worked to bring unity and harmony between communities but I will not be silent if I think Southall as a whole is being abandoned by the Tories.”
