Parkinson’s UK Parliamentary Reception

On the 27th of November, I attended Parkinson’s UK’s Parliamentary Reception to show my support for the growing calls to reform NHS continuing care.

I was concerned by the findings of the report conducted by Parkinson’s UK and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Parkinson’s which revealed deep failings in the NHS continuing care system.

It is totally unacceptable that many people suffering from health conditions like Parkinson’s face the additional ordeal of an inadequate service and high costs of specialised care and it is vital that the Government takes action in addressing the failings found in the report in order to ensure patients and families get the care they so desperately need.
