This Saturday I attended the Hanwell Carnival organised and run by the Hanwell community. The day was an outstanding event with the whole community together in their thousands. We all enjoyed the day-without the rain which made the experience even more spectacular. With the support of the local community, residents of Hanwell, charitable and voluntary organisations, the carnival started with a fancy dress procession leading to the main festival in Elthorne Park. The carnival, which is an annual event and the second largest carnival in the UK after Notting Hill was a fantastic event with the opportunity to meet and socialise as a community. The day also included charity stalls, music and community stages, a dog show, petting zoo and funfair. Bringing together the community in fun times likes this allows us to enjoy our community in all its glory.
I was particularly happy to visit Age UK stand...
