 How can we help?

Mr Sharma MP’s job is to represent the constituents of Ealing, Southall in Parliament. This means that he takes up issues on behalf of his constituents or points people in the right direction if their inquiry can be dealt with by another body. He asks questions and makes speeches in the House of Commons, pressing government ministers for an answer or raising concerning issues for constituents.

If there are any matters you want him to pursue on your behalf, the most effective way is usually to write to him. Bear in mind that he is likely to send a photocopy of your letter to whomever the relevant person or organisation is, together with a covering letter of his own asking them to comment or investigate.

Mr Sharma MP also holds regular constituency surgeries, where he meets constituents face to face to discuss problems and welcomes all constituents to come to these. You can e-mail or telephone us at the constituency office on 020 8571 1003 to make an appointment. Alternatively you can visit the constituency office:

112A The Green, Southall, Middlesex, UB2 4BG.

(For information on visiting the House of Commons, individuals and groups should write or e-mail.)

Parliamentary Protocol

There is a strict convention at Westminster that Members of Parliament do not seek to intervene in matters personally affecting the constituents of other Members. In normal circumstances, therefore, Mr Sharma MP will only be able to pursue matters raised by my own constituents. If you are not sure who your MP is, you can find out by putting your postcode into the Constituency Finder on the House of Commons website.

How to Contact Us

Mr Sharma MP is happy to receive questions and queries relating to his job, his work, Labour perspectives and the constituency. He will try to respond to all letters or e-mails received. We are sometimes snowed under with the amount of post we get and it can be difficult to reply quickly. All the staff and Mr Sharma MP will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Please include your POSTAL ADDRESS so that we can confirm you are one of Mr Sharma MP’s constituents and avoid breaking parliamentary protocol.
